The CSO Coalition for Sustainable and Transparent Energy Development (STED Coalition) was established in Armenia in January 2019 and remains an active, growing platform uniting civil society organisations committed to driving the country's clean energy transition. The Coalition was founded in response to a recognised gap in the capacities of Armenian NGOs and CSOs to engage meaningfully with energy policy, regulatory frameworks, and investment barriers in energy efficiency and renewable energy. To address this, the initiative has focused on building the knowledge, advocacy tools, and institutional structures needed for CSOs to influence national and local energy decision-making. A full-time Secretariat was established to support the Coalition's daily operations, and a suite of internal governance documents — including a Development Programme, Lobbying Strategy, Conflict of Interest Regulation, and Fundraising Plan — were developed and adopted. The Coalition maintains an active digital presence through its dedicated online platform at **esfarmenia.am**, which incorporates a live monitoring dashboard tracking sustainable energy progress across Armenian communities. It has cultivated strong regional ties, hosting a major international event that brought together CSO partners from Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Moldova, and securing the signatures of 23 organisations on the *Declaration on the Sustainable Energy Lighthouse*. Engagement with the Armenian Government on energy policy has been sustained through structured dialogue, ensuring civil society voices are embedded in legislative and regulatory processes. The Coalition places a strong emphasis on gender inclusion, delivering targeted training for women experts in municipal monitoring and convening dedicated forums — including a Chatham House-format dialogue with women from Shirak and Gegharkunik marzes — to strengthen their roles in local governance. Community outreach has extended to youth, with Sustainable Energy Days held in Artik, Shirak Marz, engaging over thirty students through art contests and energy-themed knowledge competitions. As beneficiary Natella Zakaryan, a school teacher from Aparan Community, reflected: *"This project and the efforts of the CSO Coalition helped us express our views, work beyond our regular job expectations, inspire and lead our students beyond the school agenda and become change-makers in our communities..
